Katherine Marie "Kay" McAllister, was born in Chicago on May 16, 1926 and passed away on August 1, 2026 in Laurel, MS. She was born to Frank and Mary Pupin. Kay owned her own business as a tax and accounting consultant before retiring to Arizona in 1990.

While raising 8 children with her husband James (Jim) McAllister, she was the 1st Woman Rotary President in Riverdale, Il, served as Mother’s Club President at Maria High School, Boy Scout Troop Leader, Secretary for the Green Valley Home Owners Association, member of the Green Valley Civil Defense Team, and Residents Association President at The Claiborne. Kay was known as an enthusiastic Canasta player with a big smile and helpful attitude.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Pupin; husband, James C, McAllister; sister, Josephine Jordan and son-in-laws Olavo Leite and Guy Randall Roberts.

She is survived by her children: Marybeth Leite, Laura Lippert (Gregg), Margaret McAllister Roberts, Patrick McAllister (Jane), James McAlllister (Kristy), Michael McAllister (Mary Claire), Della Matrtinsen (Wayne), and Christine Galaher (Geof); 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10:00am-12:00pm at Forrest Funeral Home with a burial service at St Casmir’s Cemetery in Chicago on September 12, 2026.
