Inez’s Life and Legacy

On Friday, July 5, 1929, Inez Stewart entered this world with her big eyes and even bigger smile. Her parents were Cinderella Emma Jane Childs-Stewart and Stanley Pody Stewart. She had two sisters Annie-Ruth Brownlee and Emmaline Harris. Inez was raised by her paternal grandmother, Minnie “Ma Minnie” Stewart. Inez always reminisced on her childhood with her ma Minnie, aunt, and uncles. During an annual camp meeting service, Inez would meet her husband of 60 years, John Oliver Sinclair III. On Saturday, July 6, 1946, Inez became a Sinclair as she wed John the day after her 17th birthday. They continued to fill their home with six beautiful children, and endless love, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. Their children in birth order goes as follows: Rondel Sinclair, John Oliver Sinclair IV, Stanley Sinclair, Edward Lee Sinclair, Meida Inez Sinclair, and Denise “Niecy” Sinclair-Moody. Inez was the hardest working woman, wife, and more than anything else mother. Inez dedicated her life to her faith, family, and church. She was an impeccable soloist at her beloved churches of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and St. James United Methodist Church, where she later became the “Mother of the Church.” She never missed a camp meeting or church service, which showed her never wavering faith and dedication to her Lord and Savior. She worked at Singing River Electric Power Association until her retirement. Then gave her time as a volunteer at the George Regional Hospital. She then focused her time on continuing to be an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Inez loved her home and took pride in her gorgeous rose bushes. Her favorite pastime was to look out of her window as she sat in her recliner with her television on a volume of 100. Inez took pride in her appearance with her signature red nails and gold jewelry. Her smile, laugh, and overall spunk lit up every room, that will now be filled with her spirit and legacy.

Inez is preceded in death by her parents Cinderella and Stanley Stewart, her sisters Annie-Ruth (James Carter) Brownlee, Emmaline (Charles) Harris, Her grandmother Minnie Stewart, paternal aunt and uncles, her nieces and nephew Jacqueline Brown, Ronna Brownlee, and James Brownlee Jr., her beloved husband John Oliver Sinclair III, her dear son John Oliver Sinclair IV along with his wife Jimmie-Sue Sinclair, her daughter-in-law Frances, and her grandson Cedrick Henry.

Inez is survived by:

Her Children: Rondel (Maude) Sinclair, Stanley Sinclair, Edward (Sharron) Sinclair, Meida Sinclair, and Denise (Dwight) Sinclair-Moody.

Nieces: Patricia Standifer, Gail Brownlee, and Doris “Dottie” brownlee

Grandchildren: Rondel (Debra) Sinclair Jr., Elyria Sinclair, Evora Sinclair, Anthony (Britney) Sinclair, Katherine Moody, Mikayla Moody, Wesley (Angelina) Scott, Angela (Clement) Williams, Tangie (Chris) Hughs, Grover (Elisa) Henry Jr., Becky Boulton, Brian Bracks, Elisha Bennett, Cedric (Alexis) Sargent, Sherman Hill, and Dalonda Michelle Covan.
