Andrew Anthony “Andy” Moore, Jr., 78, of Petal, passed away on October 8, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1947, in New Orleans, LA. Andy joined The United States Army fighting with boots on the ground in the Vietnam War from June 13, 1966 until April 18, 1968.

After the military, Andy worked with Frigidaire Appliance Repair Service. At that time, he scored the highest level on testing that was available, where he became a Master Repair Technician for Frigidaire. In 1992, he became the sole proprietor of Andy Moore Appliance Service where he continued his passion for appliance repair where he served his repeat customers that became his friends.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Salvador Ferrara; two grandchildren, Shara Moore and Robert E. Barding; one sister, Catherine Couture (Jerry) and one niece, Mona Freeman. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, JoAnn Moore; four children: Gina Barding (Robert), Michelle Anderson, Keith Brown (Crissy) and Angelique Moore; one brother, Alex (Linda) Moore; 9 grandchildren: Thomas Brown, Lauran Lea (Shane), Kylie Smith (Lance), Chelsea Kearns (Robbie), Ashley Walters (Caleb), Jered Brown, Travis Barding, Halee Brown, and Jayden Witsell along with 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025, 5-8:00pm at Forrest Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, 12:00pm at Forrest Funeral Home with the service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
