A time to be born...

March 30th, 1942 Maggie Ruth Ford was born in Monticello, Mississippi to Willie Wilks and Matilda Mikell Williams.

A time to grow...

She attended high school at Rowan High School in Hattiesburg, MS.

A time to work...

During her younger days Maggie  worked  as a home care worker and nanny for a number of years. She went on to work as a dietary aide and nutritionist for P.A.C.E. Head-start.  Her final position was with the City of Hattiesburg where she enjoyed being a school crossing guard. 

A time to serve...

Maggie lived her life as a God-fearing woman. As she grew older she never veered from her faith. She was a member of Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. 

A time to return home...

God embraced Maggie Ruth Ford in his arms and enfolded her in his love on November 20th, 2024, at which time she quietly departed from this life.

A time to remember...

Maggie was proceeded in death by her parents Willie Wilks and Matilda Williams and her stepfather Robert “RJ” Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Gerry Wayne Williams, Marian “Mell” (James) Lenoir, Larry Wilks, Cheryl Ford Hinton, Darryl (Catina) Ford; Grandchildren, Dr. Chavonne Lenoir (Dr. Schubert) Perotte, Porando Conley, Vacaro (Constance) Conley, James (Kaitlyn) Lenoir, Jr., Santequia (Roderick) Ducksworth, Darryl “T-Quad” (Portia) Edwards, Kendel Jahmal Ford, Larry Wilks Jr., Alicia Lenoir, Darrius Dominique Ford, Jimmarco Ford, and Izéah Hinton; a host of great grandchildren, and other close relatives along with many devoted friends.
