Wayne Thomas Katerski, Sr., 76, of Purvis, passed away on September 20, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1948, to James and Bernice Katerski in West Allis, WI. After graduating high school, Wayne joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for four years. Wayne married the love of his life, Virginia, and to this union they had 10 children.

Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Katerski; parents, James Katerski, Sr., and Bernice Katerski; daughter-in-law, Jessica Katerski. He is survived by his children: Rebecca Katerski, Wayne (Kristina) Katerski, Michael Katerski, Julie Katerski, Jonathan (Hayley) Katerski, James Katerski, III, Katrina Katerski, Emma Katerski, Shane Katerski, and Jacob Katerski; grandchildren: Alexandria Reindl, Alyssa Katerski, Avery Katerski, Myles Katerski, Emilio Markus, Victor Hernandez, Vincent Katerski, Devin Katerski, Connor Katerski, Caleb Katerski, Mia Katerski, Reina Katerski, Lilyann Katerski, Ian Katerski, and Cannon Katerski; one brother, James Raymond Katerski, Jr.
