Thomas LaVon Everett, 49, of Hattiesburg, passed away on August 20, 2024, in the Glendale community. He graduated in 1993 from North Forrest High School and completed one and a half years of college at East Central Community College in Decatur, MS.

He met the love of his life, Angela in 2010. They were united in Christ, August 27, 2011. They were inseparable until the end of his life.

After leaving college, he was employed at Puckett Machinery in Hattiesburg, MS, for 28 years. He started as a Service Mechanic and was promoted to Shop Supervisor. He was known for his humorous nature and unwavering commitment to his work.

He volunteered as a Coach/ Assistant Coach with the Hattiesburg Dixie Youth Baseball League for over 10 years. He loved all sports, but football was his passion. He coached Little League with north Forrest Elementary and Oak Grove Elementary. He was a loyal San Francisco 49ers fan for 41 years.

Thomas leaves behind to cherish is memory: a loving wife, Angela Everett; mother, Ann Oatis; grandmother, Annie Pearl Everett; sisters: Latoya (Kevin) Causey, Jeronica Everett, and Pamela (Eric) Everett-Williams; brother, Shomari Rawls; sons: Kyontez Everett and Ahmad Everett; beloved nephew, Jayvan Williamson; daughters: Mya Everett, Nyesha Jones, Courtney Shaw, Kamesha Wiley, Amiyah (Deonte) May-Monor, Keiaundria (Jess) Sanford, and Keyuana Everett; 7 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Logos Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00pm.
