Obituary for Elijah Moore Jr.

Mr. Elijah Moore, Jr. was born November 1, 1940, in Gheens,
Louisiana and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was the son of
Irma Ingram Moore and Elijah Moore, Sr., both of whom preceded him in death.
Early on Elijah became employed by Fairchild Construction.
Through a co-worker, he met Pauline Keys, and they were united in matrimony in 1960. To this union, four children were born.
After many years, Elijah became a truck driver and eventually an entrepreneur by starting his own trucking company, Moore’s
Trucking which later became P&J Trucking. Elijah continued
driving trucks until his health began to fail. Elijah enjoyed riding in his boat, drag racing, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.
Elijah leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 62 years,
Pauline Keys Moore of Seminary, Mississippi; three daughters,
Vickie Gibbs, Shelia Moore, and LaShona Myers all of Seminary, Mississippi; two sons, Jerry Moore of Seminary, Mississippi and
Adarius Myers of Ruston, Louisiana; one sister, Everlena Moore (Charles) Nance of Gulfport, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren, 16
great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
