George Marvin Allen, 95, passed away on December 18, 2022 in Hattiesburg, MS at Asbury
Hospice House. He was born on October 29, 1927 to Mr. Thad Allen and Mrs. Margie Allen.
Mr. Allen served in the Army from 1950-1953 as 1 st Lieutenant. He graduated from the
University of Southern Mississippi in 1954 with a degree in business. He then worked in the
Dry Cleaning Industry from 1954-2017. George married the late Rupert Nell Allen on October
15, 1955.
George is survived by his four children: Grant Allen, Betsy (Dale) Roark, Greg (Michelle) Allen,
and George (Beverly) Allen, Jr., eleven grandsons, four great grandsons, four great
granddaughters.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Calvary
Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mize, Mississippi.
