Jerry James Newland, 74, of Hattiesburg, passed away on October 2, 2021, at his home. He was born on December 5, 1946, to Lewis and Ann Evelyn in South Dakota. Jerry retired from Cargil Salt in Cahokia, IL, and the City of Hattiesburg Water Department.
Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Newland. He is survived by his three siblings: Sharon Delao, Frances Golick and Terry Newland; two stepchildren, Dave Hawkins and Don Hawkins; sister-in-law, Rita Ladd; two brothers-in-law, Dan Ladd and Randy Nugent.
