Obituary for Larry Travis "Travis" Freeman

Larry “Travis” Freeman, 73, of Hattiesburg, MS, passed away on August 22, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital. Travis was born on March 28, 1948, to Milford and Sophie Freemen in Albertville, Alabama.
Travis is survived by his wife, Audrey Freeman; three children: Larry Shane Freeman, Thomas Dewayne Freeman (Reese), and Pennie Machelle Freeman; six grandchildren: Alex Williamson, Morgan Diamond, Elijah Freeman, Ethan Freeman, Sarah Diamond and Gabi Diamond; two great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Williamson and Adam Prater; four siblings: Helen Hubbard (Edward Hubbard), Carolyn Galloway (Clinton Galloway), Janie Smith (Kenneth Smith) and Don Freeman (Linda Freeman).
He is prededed in death by his parents; one great-grandchild, Isaiah Prater; and one sister, Kathleen Penland. Travis was a very loving man to his family and treasured his friends. Travis had a passion for fishing and enjoyed boating in the Gulf with family and friends. When Travis was not fishing, he was working on cars in his body shop. Travis began his career in auto body repair when he was a kid when he would beat out pie plates to repair parts of the body of a car,his mother would tell the story that she could never keep a pie plate in the house. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
