THE LIFE OF JOSEPH “JOE” WILLIAM CLARK
Joseph William Clark was born on November 9, 1945, to the late Ben and viola Clark in Aiken South Carolina. He was educated in the area at Strom Thurman. He left home early and moved to Mississippi where he became a well-known cement finisher. He eventually developed his own cement company and serviced the local Hattiesburg area. He passed this trade on to sons and grandsons and even great grandsons who are currently working in the trade.
He was a committed member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hattiesburg MS where he was inducted into the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Peter Quinn Council Number 15382 on March 15, 2015. He was an active member in his community and willing to help or do just about anything to make someone else’s life better. He encouraged hard work, taking care of family and foremost, putting GOD FIRST.
His Hobbies besides work, were fishing, watching football, and hanging out with “the gang and a bunch” which he loving called his grandkids,
He leaves to mourn his wife, Esther Clark Of 42 years. Together they have eight children Theresa Clark Cambell (Forest), Tammie Clark, Charo Sneed, Tina Clark Harris (Jerome), Marche’ Maye (Rico), Richard McBride, Malcolm Clark, Jerome Taplin.
7 sisters and brothers Lula Reedy(Horace) of Hattiesburg, Leora Smith (James) of Ohio, Lizzie Weaver of Ohio, Milege Clark (Essie) of Troy, AL, Josh Clark (Alberta) and the late Louise Weaver (James) of South Carolina and a hosts of grandchildren,great grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins and special friends.
