Obituary for Douglas Kesler

Douglas Wayne Kesler, 65 of Hattiesburg, MS, passed away on January 24, 2021. He was born on
December 19, 1956 to Kenneth R. & Dorothy Kesler. Douglas was a biomedical engineer stationed at the
hospital on Tyndall Airforce base where he was enlisted. Douglas was a carpenter beloved by all that
knew him.
Douglas Kesler is preceded in death by his father Kenneth R. Kesler, daughter Ashley D. Holley and niece
Kristi Kesler all of Memphis, TN. Douglas is survived by his wife Kathy Kesler of Hattiesburg MS, his
mother, Dorothy R. Kesler of Memphis, TN, and his daughter, Deidre K. Seymour and her husband
Donald of Memphis, TN as well as son David A. Kesler of Arlington, VA. Douglas also leaves behind a
brother, Don Kesler and wife Kathy of Coconut Grove, Florida, his brother Dennis Kesler and wife Patty
of Eads, TN and his sister Diane Gillespie and husband John of Memphis, TN. Douglas leaves behind 6
granddaughters: Aeona G. Seymour and Scarlett E. Seymour of Memphis, TN; Krista D. Holley and Mikail
J. Pollard of Adamsville, TN and Cheyenne and Paisley Kesler of Texas. Douglas leaves behind step-
children: Sean Wakeland, Ian Wakeland & Lauren Wakeland of Hattiesburg, MS. Douglas is remembered
by his niece Annie Laurie Tucker and nephews John Gillespie and Jacob Gillespie of Memphis, TN and
nephew Matthew Kesler of Meridian, Idaho. Douglas also leaves behind great-grandson Kahleb Amir
Webb of Adamsville, TN and great-nephew Billio Renfroe, as well as, great-niece Katie Tucker both of
Memphis, TN.
