Rashee Sheree Reed was born on October 6, 1976 to the Late Edward Reed, Jr.
and Norris Carol Scott-Reed-Burns. She departed this life on December 22, 2020.
Rashee graduated in 1996 from Merrillville High School. Rashee remained in
Chicago, however, she relocated to Mississippi, where she began to call home, and
where she flourished . There Rashee gained employment, at Forest General Hospital.
It did not stop there, Rashee also worked hard to become a first time homeowner,
but that’s not it, Rashee was also a proud, 2020 graduate of the University of
Southern Mississippi. Rashee was very determined in life and she inspired others.
Rashee's final goal was to start a non-profit business that sought to assist those in
need from various walks of life. She always kept her faith in God to keep her head
on straight and staying grounded while working toward her goals in life. She never
gave up on her dreams to successfully graduate from the University of Southern
Mississippi, earning her degrees in the field of Psychology. She pursued a career in
Social Work, where she could help ,care, guide, empathize, give warmth, protect
rights, defend children, and defend the love for people from all walks of life.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago, where she acquired
her foundation for the word of God . When she moved to Mississippi, she
continued her love for Christ and joined worship with her new family members at
Grace Temple Baptist Church.
Rashee was proceeded in death by her father, Edward Reed, Jr.; her
grandparents: Catheleen Scott, Walter E. Scott, Mary Reed-Boyd, Edward Reed, Sr.,
and Willie Boyd.
Rashee leaves to cherish her precious memories; her mother, Norris Carol
Scott-Reed-Burns; her step father, George W. Burns; three sisters, Bridgette Burns,
Toreyi Bryant (Bryant) Moore, and Dr. Tamron (Daryosh) Brooks; four brothers,
Adonis E. Reed, Edward (Latasha) Reed III, Jared H (Shemeka) Reed, Sr., and Ronald
Burns, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, family and friends.
