Obituary for Walter Lendsey Smith Sr.
Walter Lindsey Smith, Sr., 66, of Petal, passed away on November 26, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1954, in Atmore, AL.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Walter Lindsey Smith, Jr.; three step-children: Andrea Baldwin, Hope Poole and Willie Poole; 10 siblings: Louise Haynes, S.J. Baldwin, Geneva Lambert, George Rigsby, Evelyn Tatum, Ray Smith, Buford McNair, Jr., Josie Hinton, Lillie Doose and Beulah Mikell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 5, 2020, 11:00am at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the service to follow at 1:00pm also at the church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
