Obituary for Octavia Beth Aube

Octavia Beth Terral Aube , age 79, died of Alzheimer’s Disease on October, 12th, 2020, in Sanford, MS.

Beth is survived by her husband, Kenneth Joseph Aube, of Sanford, MS.; her sons, Brent Aube (Janet) of Mobile, Al. and Dane Aube (Wendy) of Corinth, MS., her sister Vida Terral Bevil (Lillard) of Reagan, TX., her brother Artemus Nelson Terral Jr.(Karen) of BelleChasse, LA., grandchildren Logan Aube (Nikkie) of Poplarville, MS, Amarette Aube Speights (Ryan) of Saltilo, MS., Garrick Aube (Huntsville, AL.), Nicholas Aube (Victoria) of Mansfield, TX., Andrea Aube of Mobile, AL. and 4 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Artemus Nelson Terral Sr. and Octavia Bond Terral, of Jonesville, LA;

Beth was born on January 1st, 1941 in Jonesville, LA., to parents Artemus Nelson Terral Sr. and Octavia Bond Terral. She graduated from Crosby High School (1958), Hinds Community College, Mississippi College (1961) and University of New Orleans (1981) with a Masters & Specialist Degree in Education.

In 1961,she moved to Port Sulphur, LA. and began a distinguished, 42 year career as an educational professional, teaching at Port Sulphur High School, McBride Academy (Port Sulphur, LA.), Delta Heritage Academy (Buras, LA.), Buras High School and St. Elizabeth Catholic School (Paincourtville, LA.)

A person of unshakeable faith, she lived her life in service to the Lord. Beth enjoyed playing the piano & singing in church.

As a lifetime educator, she taught thousands of children Reading & English and led Sunday School classes her entire adult life.



Visitation with the funeral immediately following, is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., on October 14th, 2020, at First Baptist Seminary, MS. with a reception to follow. Graveside services will be conducted on October 15th, 2020. Tim Hubbard will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Beth’s life.

The family would like to thank Tim Hubbard for officiating both services, the people of Seminary First Baptist Church & Sanford Missionary Baptist Church for their support.

A Grave side service at Chalk Hill Cemetery in Jena, LA, procession will leave from Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena.
