Georgia Sewell, 54, of Hattiesburg, passed away on September 30, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House with her family at her side. She was born on March 21, 1966, to George and Gail Smith in Picayune, MS. Georgia earned a nursing degree from University of Mobile and was employed locally at Forrest General Hospital and the Forrest County Jail. Georgia never failed to support her friends and was always the life of the party. She sincerely cared for her patients and fellow co-workers. Georgia coined the phrase “Love Pumpkin” to address her favorites and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Georgia is preceded in death by her father and one sister, Lorrie Ann Smith. She is survived by her mother; a son, James Parnell; three sisters: Shirley Palmisano (David), Debbie Pledger (Tommy), and Robin Schulze (Bruce) and several nieces and nephews.
Per Georgia’s wishes, there will be no service. She will be celebrated daily with the memories of her laughter, good deeds, hilarious antics, stories of her adventures, and catch phrases. Rest well, “My Love”. We will take it from here.
