Obituary for James Varnado

Varnado, James Marlow, 80, of Hattiesburg, MS, passed away on July 3,
2020 in Hattiesburg, MS. James M. Varnado affectionately known as “Big Papa”
was born in Magnolia, MS on May 18, 1940. He grew up in Chicago, IL.

He married Mary Varnado on Dec 25, 1981 in Las Vegas, NV. He worked and
retired from Roadway Express for 25 years. He was involved in Emmanuel Temple
where he held positions as a Deacon, Usher, and Cell Group Leader. He was an avid
sports fan with a love for the Chicago Bears. James was a family man that loved his
kids. Creating memories and traveling with his beloved wife and family.

James M. Varnado is preceded in death by his parents: Jesse and Della Varnado. Two
brothers and Nine sisters. James M. Varnado is survived by Mary Varnado,
Children, Zina Varnado Ava Patterson of San Jose, California, Pernell Varnado of
Dallas, TX, Jeff Hall (Sajar) of Bassfield, MS, James Anthony Varnado, Elvin
Varnado (Patricia), LaTasha Watson of Dallas, TX, Adria Hall of Barstow,

California, His Sister, Lena Dixon, 14 Grandchildren and a host of great-
Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Special Niece, Deborah Porter.
