Obituary for Bettie Stuart Langenbach

Bettie Stuart Langenbach, 73, of Hattiesburg, lost her battle with cancer on June 3rd 2020, at Asbury Hospice House. Bettie was born in Hattiesburg and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing. Bettie retired from Forrest General Hospital and resided in Hattiesburg until her passing. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Bettie will be missed by all who knew her. Her generous spirit and kind heart impacted those around her - from the nursing students she taught and mentored, to the grandchildren and nieces she loved so dearly and the many animals she took-in and loved. Her courage and faith during difficult times taught us to embrace life with joy and compassion, and trust in the Lord to take care of us. Our lives are brighter for having known her.

Bettie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Vallie Stuart. She is survived by her loving husband, Ross Karl Langenbach III; two sons: Karl Langenbach IV (Luli) and Andrew Langenbach (Teresa); a brother, Tony Stuart (Martha); her grandchildren: Madison, Chase, Diandra, and Tai; and two nieces, Tara and Melanie.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9th 2020, at Forrest Funeral Home from 10 – 12 am with a graveside service to follow at Grantham Cemetery in Oakgrove.
