Melvin will be remembered as being a very friendly person and was affectionately known for being a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Melvin was no stranger to hard work (Marshall Durbin, Mississippi Railroad, Waste Management, MDOT, Petal School District, Self-employed at Melvin’s Lawncare) and often found doing what he said he would do. When it was time to relax, you could find him enjoying his favorite food or ice-cream in his favorite chair.
