Mollie Gerutha Davis, 96, of Hattiesburg, passed away on December 9, 2018, at Merit Health Wesley. She was born on January 5, 1922, to Henry and Virgie Foster in Mount Olive, MS.
Mollie is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Davis; two children, Van Boykins and Rodney Davis;four siblings: Benton Foster, Juliet Foster Thomas, Effie Lee Foster Ward and Carter W Foster; one grandchild, Arnisha Gamble. She is survived by four children: Virginia Jackson, Joella Bestel, Gerutha Gamble and Terry Davis; two siblings, Geraldine Foster Parker and Pauline Foster Davis; twenty- two grandchildren: Sharon Reed, Myron Jackson, Jacqueline Reed, Sonja Jackson Flowers, Jaudon Jackson, Kendra Gamble, Lamon Jackson, Dwone Gamble, Anthony Boykins, LaTron Boykins, Aaron Gamble, Rashonda Jackson Brown, Meshia Jackson Daniels, Sedric Boykins, Kentrell Boykins, Reynelda Bryant, Lekeba Jackson Granger, Tequon Gamble, Alvin Gamble, Santana Davis and Rodney Davis; twenty- four great grandchildren: Kiaka Reed, Justin Jones, Christopher Jones, Timothy Jones, Dominque Boykins, Tevin Gamble, Jasmine Boykins, Omeshia Gamble, Jayda Boykins, Benjamin Love, Lakirah Council, Kamecia Love, Joshua Boykins, Elijah Daniels, Nailah Gamble, Emiah Daniels, Benjamin Boykins, Janiah Gamble, Nadia Gamble, Audon Jackson, Jaxxon Johnson, Kaidunne Brown, Roemello Boykins and Arriana Boykins; numerous great great grandchildren and extended family.
