Ms. Roxie Gill Roberson, 80, of Hattiesburg, passed away on July 8, 2018, at Asbury Hospice House. She was born on January 9, 1938, in Smith County to Varner and Edna Walters.
Ms. Roxie is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Karen Gill and Brenda Gill; one brother, Voyd Walters and the father of her children, Harold Gill. She is survived by her daughter, Jeana Watts (Roger); son, Wayne Gill (Susan); seven grandchildren: Russ Gill, Jason Warden, Nikki Watts, Eric Gill, Paige Tumlin, Sammy Gill and Jake Gill; four great grandchildren: Logan Gill, Olivia Gill, Marcus Tumlin and Ryan Tumlin; a twin sister, Shirley Johnson; a special family friend, Beverly Carter and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, 10am in Forrest Chapel with the service to follow at 11am. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
