Laurie Nicole Edwards was born May 19, 1979 in Los Angeles, California to Emmett Hearn and Valerie Elaine Arnold.
From the time she was a child, she proved that she was a unique individual with an amazing personality.
She was a 1997 honors graduate of Hattiesburg High School. She was a member of various clubs and organizations.
Thereafter, she furthered her education at Jones County Junior College. Additionally, she obtained certificates in cosmetology, massage therapy, and fitness training at various institutions. Laurie used her skills and training to serve others.
Laurie truly enjoyed life and believed in living it to the fullest. She strongly believed that life was about “love, peace, and happiness.” The gift of kindness, and unconditional love perpetuated through her being daily as she gave of herself to help others who were in need. Her life and her actions trumpet the importance of tolerance, honesty, and forgiveness.
Laurie returned to her heavenly father, November 5, 2017. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Valerie and Patrick Arnold; her father and step-mother, Emmett Hearn and Michelle Hearn; her sisters, Meghan Hearn and Dedra Hearn; her family pet, Bentley (aka Oogie Boogie); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She will be truly missed by her family and friends, but her presence and memory will live forever.
