Emma Jean Drake was born on August 4, 1933. On the morning of January 9, 2017, the Angel of Silence came into her home with a chilly finger and sealed the lips of a God-fearing, devoted, and faithful mother, a loving sister, and a counseling grandmother, and took her home to be with Him.

Emma married Curlee Drake in 1954. To this union 7 children were born; Evelyn, Shirley, Curlee Jr., Diane, Curlie Mae, Deloris, and Larry Earl. She loved them dearly and she set a good example what it meant to be a mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and sister-in-law. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Curlee Drake and 1 grandson, Aloyius James Davis. She joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Family, where she served faithfully until her death.

Emma loved her grandchildren and great grand children very much. She was a babysitter for all and provided for her grandchildren and great grandchildren like they were hers. She did not spare the Rod.

Keys), Diane Drake (John) Barnes, Delouis Drake (Larry) Dill; 2 Sons, Curlee Drake Jr., and Larry Drake; 14 grandchildren, Tameriel Strickland, Cory Strickland, Tommy Bullock, Chermer Bullock, James Blakney, Chris Blakney, Reneshia Blakney, EarlLloyd, Latrice Johnson, Jazzmine Dill, Larry Drake, Curlee Drake III, Precious Drake, and Curlisha Drake; 15 great grandchildren, Elijah Lloyd, Earl Lloyd, Jr,Khloe Tanner, Annie Lloyd, Tella Lloyd, Tanyla Lee, James Strickland, Corey Strickland, Caleb Strickland, London Bullock, Heaven Bullock, Maylaysia Davis,Semaj Davis, Marcus Blakney, and D’Wayne Drake Johnson; 2 sisters, Pearlie (Penny) Mae Wilks and Mattie B (Robert) Cameron; 2 brothers, Robert Clark & Ike Clark, and a host of friends and family.
