Sharon “Sheri” R. Nichols, of Hattiesburg, passed away on October 5, 2016. She was born in Hattiesburg, raised in the Delta, and graduated from Gulf Park College. Sheri worked as a commercial artist in Memphis, where she met and married a soon to be “Top Gun” Navy Fighter Pilot. Through challenges of being a war time military family, she carried with her the faith, love and assurance of a heavenly Father and taught the same to her three kids.
In the 1970’s, Sheri was a working fashion model, business owner and fabulous entrepreneur. She traveled the world as a franchise sales operation manager. Upon returning to Hattiesburg, she worked for Primerica and held both insurance and securities licenses. Sheri was also a member at Willow Point Church.
Sheri is preceded in death by her loving parents, Milton S. ”Buck” Richard and Bernette Gray Richard. She is survived by two sons, John Nichols (Holly) and Gray Nichols (Talina); a daughter, Sharon Leigh Nichols; three grandchildren: Jared Nichols, Stephanie McKeough and Hunter Nichols; a great grandchild Finley McKeough.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2016, at Willow Point Church 10-11 with the service to follow at 11.
