John Fletcher- Beaver, 91, of Hattiesburg, died November 26, 2014, at his home. He was born to Horace and Hanna Beaver on August 17, 1923, in London, England. John enlisted in the British military serving as a Sapper in the British Royal Engineers. He specialized in Bomb Disposal during WWII, in the Middle Eastern Theater, from 1939-1945. He was the Director of Manufacturing at Winterbotham textiles. John met his wife Nancy Alice Fletcher on a trip to Israel at the Sea of Galilee. They married on June 28, 1975, in San Francisco, CA.
John was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and his son, Keith. He is survived by his loving wife; three grandchildren: Simon, Louise, and Natalie; a brother in law, Bill Fletcher; and many good friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 on Monday, December 1, 2014, at Highland Cemetery, located at 3401 W 7th Street, Hattiesburg, MS. Inurnment will take place at the same location. Forrest Funeral Home of Hattiesburg is in charge of the arrangements.
