Obituary for Claudanne Grable

Claudanne Johnson Grable, 81, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 10, 1937, to Claude William and Georgia Ann Prather Johnson in Oakdale, Louisiana.
Claudanne married the love of her life, Loren Dennis Grable, on February 28, 1957. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage. She worked at Northern Electric Company and also worked at Methodist Hospital (Wesley Hospital) in the Human Resources Department. She enjoyed traveling and her favorite was driving to Colorado and enjoying all the beautiful scenery. Claudanne also enjoyed playing Mexican Dominoes with her friends and loved watching movies on the television. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her family.
Claudanne is preceded in death by her loving and devoted daughter-in-law, Mona Huff Grable. She is survived by her husband, Loren Dennis Grable and three loving sons: Chris and Mary Grable, Tony Grable, and Barry and Wendy Grable. She had six grandchildren: Chris Grable(Jennifer), Matthew Grable (Melanie); Dennis Grable (Stephanie); Brian Grable (Ann), Chris Williams (Miranda), Colton Hayes (Rachel). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Sadie, Sophie, Chase, Daphne, Holly Beth, Dillon, Kadence, AvaLynn, Mason, Logan, Jacob and Stormy; her loving sister, June (Jerry) Stokeld.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Forrest Funeral Home, Hattiesburg, MS. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Forrest Funeral Home, with Deacon Raymon Huff officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forrest General Hospital Cancer Center in honor of Claudanna Grable.
