Obituary for Jon Travis Darby

Jon Travis  Darby
Jon “Travis” Darby, 46, of Petal, MS, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 12, 2017. He passed away at Asbury Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Travis was born on December 13, 1970, in Kaplan, LA. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and was most recently working with Servpro. Travis was an active member of Petal First Baptist Church. He also assisted with Petal Show Choir and coaching youth sports.
Travis is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Darby; maternal grandparents: J.T and Mildred Johnson; paternal grandparents: Lionel and Ella Darby, and a niece, Brittlyn Darby.
He is survived by, his loving wife, Jennifer Darby; two sons: Logan and Jace; his mother Barbara Reaves, and a brother Trent Darby (Betty), along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Petal First Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family adamantly requests that donations be made to Petal First Baptist Church Youth Group in memory of Travis.
