Anthony Wayne H. Nobles, 56, of Laurel, passed away on April 2, 2017, at South Central Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 30, 1960, in Hattiesburg, MS.
Anthony grew up in St. Louis, MO, and returned to Hattiesburg, where he graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1980. He continued his education at The University of Southern Mississippi majoring in Fashion Design. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1984, served six years in the Infantry, earning special honors as a Green Beret. Anthony was a faithful, devoted and loyal employee at Forrest General Hospital/Pine Grove for twenty plus years. He was loved by many and he touched the lives of everyone who crossed his path. He will be truly missed.
Anthony is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lessie Mae Mitchell; grandfathers, Robert Thomas and James L Nobles; two uncles, Robert Earl Frazer and Robert Joe Lang; two aunts, Willene Baldwin and Minnie Mitchell. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Lewis; eight siblings: Margie Matzke (Shawn), James Hyatt, Robert Hyatt (Davern ), Demetric Ellington (Humphrey), Katie Dantzler, Michael Hyatt, Maxine Coleman and Jecory Lewis; a friend, Henry Hill; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
