Obituary for Alfred Earl Fairley

The Life & Legacy
Alfred Fairley was born to George and Jannie Mae Fairley on September 7, 1961. Alfred grew up in Petal, MS in the Springfield Community. He attended Petal High School and moved to Collins his senior year. There he graduated high school in 1979. Alfred furthered his education at The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. During his life he was employed by Swanns, Nabisco, Fred’s, State Farm and as Director of Covington County Boys and Girls Club.

Alfred accepted Christ at an early age and united with New Bethel Church under the leadership of Rev. Wilmar Carter. He later rededicated his life to Christ at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church under Rev. John H. Magee. Later he joined Mt. Zion Ora under the leadership of Pastor Willie V. Magee. Alfred loved the Lord and became a servant of the Lord when God called him to preach in October 1988. He was chosen as Pastor of Bethlehem M.B. Church in 2001 and there he served until his heavenly departure. Alfred motto was, “Take up your cross and follow me, as I follow Christ.”

Fairley, Brothers; George James Fairley of Walnut Grove, MS, Louis (Venetta) Fairley of Petal, MS, Billy Ray (Nellie) Fairley of Petal, MS, Robert Earl (Jeanne) Fairley of Canton, GA, Gregory (Cynthia) Fairley of Stafford, VA, Sisters; Annie Pearl Rentz of Erie, PA, Bobbie Nell (Eddie) Walton of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jackie Grimes of Beaumont, TX, Sister in Laws; Rosalind (Lee) Nixon or Angleton, TX, Faye Jones of Hattiesburg, MS, Yolanda (Russell) Coleman of Waynesboro, MS, Brother in Laws; Kelvin Ross of Cincinnati, OH, David Ross, and Walter Jones both of Hattiesburg, MS; Three Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
