Paul Cruse, Sr., 75 of Seminary, passed away on February 19, 2016, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on August 11, 1940, to Madeline and Cecil Cruse, Sr., in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Cruse is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Mildred; eight children: Debbie Turpin (Jeff) of IN, Paul Cruse Jr., (Sheri) of Purvis, Mechelle Bell (Kenny) of Rawls Springs, Tina Strickland (Randy) of Sumrall, Mathew Cruse (Tracie) of IN, Wayne and Michael Daniels, both of SC, Janet Dufrene (Frank) of Slidell; many grandchildren, Amber, T.J., Jacob, Blake, Randi Marie Caroline, Owen, Danen, J.J., Cameron, Tripp, Hope, Nikki, April, Jennifer, and Megan; Nine great grandchildren; six siblings: Joann McDonald (Tim), Brenda DelloStritto (Richard), Jimmy Cruse (Liz), Ronnie Cruse (Cheryl), Jerry Cruse (Debra) and Tommy Cruse (Deanna); and closest friend, Steve Mauldin (Donna) of Seminary. He is preceded in death by grandson, Lewis Paul Cruse; brother, Cecil Cruse, Jr.; sister, Cecile Wattik.
A visitation will be held on February 20, 2016, at Forrest Funeral Home from 5-8pm. An additional visitation will be Sunday, February 21, New Hope Baptist Church in Sumrall at 2pm with the service to follow at 3. Interment will be at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
