Mr. Fred Raymond Swanson, Jr., 80, of Hattiesburg, passed away on May 6, 2015, at his home. He was born on December 20, 1934, to Fred Raymond and Fairy Beatrice Swanson in Madison, WI.
Mr. Swanson graduated from Rockford University in Rockford, IL, with a degree in Business. He also graduated from the Extension Program of Ministry from The School of Theology, EFM. He was on the Board of Directors of the AIDS Service Coalition, and a Challis Bearer at Trinity Episcopal Church. He worked as a Casing Sales Representative, for over 50 years. He was also an avid golfer at Timberton Golf Course.
Mr. Swanson is survived by his loving wife, Mari Tru; one son, Fred Swanson III, of Wisconsin; one daughter, Laura Shurhammer, of Minnesota; five grandsons: Dylan, Eric, Ben, Paul, and Daniel; two granddaughters: Samantha and Rachel; two siblings: Ted Swanson and Nancy Ament, both of Texas; a special canine friend, Zach.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015, 10am with a memorial service at 11:30, both at Trinity Episcopal Church. Forrest Funeral Home of Hattiesburg is in charge of the arrangements.
