Mary Eunice King, 96, of Purvis, MS, passed away on March 26, 2015, at Lamar Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 27, 1918, to Ben and Maxine Dearman in Lamar County, MS. Mrs. King was married to Mr. Thomas W. King, and was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Purvis.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by a son, Thomas James King, Sr. (Jeanette); two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 10:00-11:30 at Calvary Baptist Church. Her service will be held at 11:30, also at the church. Interment is at Coal Town Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or The Arthritis Society.
