Obituary for Benton Edward Stinson

Benton Edward   Stinson
Mr. Benton Edward Stinson Sr. of Hattiesburg, died on February 21, 2015, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1937, in Tylertown, MS.
Mr. Stinson was in the Mississippi National Guard for 43 years and retired at Camp Shelby as the Property Book Officer, CW-3. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Stinson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra; two sons: Eddie Stinson Jr. and Bobby Stinson; three step-children: Shannon Pigg, Russell Howell, and Rachel Fisher; ten grandchildren; three great- grandchildren, and a special canine friend, Max.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Southern Pines Animal Shelter, 1901 N. 31st Avenue, Hattiesburg, MS, 39401.
Signing of the registry book will begin at 11am on March 10, 2015, with a memorial service to follow at noon in Forrest Chapel.
